About Us

Holy Family Hospital Karachi is a well reputed general hospital, serving the nation since 1954. It is a 225-bed nonprofit general hospital which was built and managed by the Medical Mission Sisters. Health care services were initiated by the Sisters since 1948, when they first started working at St. Theresa’s Nursing Home (presently PMA House) on Garden Road.

The hospital strives to provide quality and compassionate care to the patient, being cognizant of the fact that health and healing involve both physiological and spiritual care of the patient and every effort is made to try to ensure a full recovery.

To provide professional care, education facilities for doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff have been established, developed, and maintained. The School of Nursing and Midwifery were started shortly after the establishment of the hospital. The quality of nursing education is well reputed and the high standard of nursing care is appreciated. Doctors receive training in Medicine, Surgery, OB/ Gynecology, and Pediatrics. The hospital is recognized by the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan and Royal College of Surgeons (Edin.) and the Royal College of OB/Gynecology (England).
